Paint for Nursey
I am heading to Lowes after work to get some paint samples for the nursey. What's the best paint to use? Should Def stay away from Voc paints!!! What did you ladies use?

We're using Sherwin Williams only because DH's friend works there and we get a discount.

Re: Paint for Nursey
We used the Valspar paint from Loews that had no VOCs. We only used it in the living room so far, but it really has no fumes or icky smell. We plan to use it for the nursery too.

Re: Paint for Nursey
Whatever the highest quality Benjamin Moore is. We bought the paint but still need to get the room painted, most likely this weekend or during next week.

Paint for Nursey
I was just going to say- Benjamin moore is the best paint period. My husband is an architect and also extremely handy around the house and that is the only kind or paint he will use. However I think as long as you are using a big name like Behr, Sherwin Williams or Benjamin moore I think you're good as far as safety and quality.

Paint for Nursey
Our theme was Winnie the Pooh too and we used a color in the Disney line of paints called "pooh corner". The color just screamed Winnie the Pooh to us. It's more of a mint green but a subtle mint.

I would like to do classic pooh. DH is going along whatever I decide. But we both agreed Sea Green would be perfect! We want to keep it neutral for now, for when the my baby girl gets older we will mover her to another room and I just know she is gonna be like her mama and want everything Pink!

Re: Paint for Nursey
We used Sherwin Williams - Macadamia. We've never tried Benjamin Moore, but we only needed one coat of the Sherwin Williams. I wouldn't buy Home Depot paint (can't remember the brand)... we always need multiple coats with that kind.
