Camp Buckley or other summer camp suggestions for 5 yr old
I know I am late in the game but I am looking for a summer camp to send my 5 yr old DS to.
Does anyone send their child to Camp Buckley or have any other recommendations.
I am looking for:
Day camp only, no stayover bus pick-up from Queens swim instruction athletics as well as inside arts/crafts/hobby time small counselor to camper ratio
Any suggestions in the Queens or Nassau area would be greatly appreciated!

Isn't it inline with Buckley? Looks the same to me.
My nephews go to Buckley & the $ thrown around there is mind boggling.

Not sure if this is what you were looking for but the Cross Island YMCA has all of the features you listed. They break it up into bi-weekly sessions but the whole summer is about $1800
ETA: I think bus pickup is only for 6yrs old & up

This is another one I was looking at.
Did you go and visit the facilities and staff at all?
How old is your DD? I am calling today to see if I can schedule an appt and visting Buckley on Sunday.

They have an upcoming open house on Tuesday June 11th from 7-9pm. THey came recommended from another parent who's going to send her daughter there again as well.

Camp Buckley or other summer camp suggestions for 5 yr old
This will be my girls second year at World of Discovery. They are now 6. They enjoyed it so much. They have been talking about the things they did last summer and their counselors all year.

That's so good to hear! I'm a little nervous as this will be my 6 year old DD first time in camp.
