What type of running sneakers?
I have recently gotten back into running after a long break due to some issues with my lungs that prevented me from doing too much cardio exercise. I am really starting as if I have never run before even though I used to work out pretty regularly. The shoes I was wearing before are now really bothering my flat feet/hurting my back. Anyone have running shoe recommendations? Especially if you have flat feet! I will run more for distance than speed generally.

I will only run in Asics Nimbus or Kayano's. I have a pretty high arch though. I would go to a running store, I love the Sayville Running Company and have them measure to see which sneaker is best

Hi Bonnie!
Flat feet here--I actually wear Asics Nimbus. A lot of people that I run with wear Mizunos and swear by them. I have had success with Nimbus for years but given my recent hamstring and calf injury, I'm going to get retested at Jack Rabbit.
I highly recommend going into a Jack Rabbits store and doing the gait analysis on the treadmill.

I wear asics nimbus. Love them!!!
But I definitely agree with the others to go and get fitted!!!!!

I ended up with Asics GT2000 at the recommendation of the guy at Jack Rabbit and, so far so good.Thanks for all the advice!
