Does anyone have some suggestions for a good island in the Caribbean to take a 1 year old?
If so where and what hotel?

I agree!! One of the best vacations I've been on. That was about 5 years ago though and I hear it has gotten really expensive. But if money is no object I'd look into it.

Re: Caribbean help- updated - advice needed
We booked Turks and Caicos.
We aren't taking a carseat because our daughter will still be small enough to travel on our lap. Do we need a carseat for the hotel transfers?
Any other suggestions for traveling with an 18 month old would be appreciated. We haven't traveled with her yet.

Re: Caribbean help
I would check your carseat at the airport.
We have traveled before though without carseats and they provide them at car rental places. You could call the hotel to see if they provide that service for the hotel transfer.
