Re: Land of make believe
we live in NJ, about 40 minutes away from LOMB. We just went in June with DS, who is 2.5. I think its about $25 for kids, and a couple dollars less for adults. WE went before schools got out with a Mom's group, so we had an amazing group rate (it was $21 total for DH, DS and I to get in) it was GREAT! perfect for like 2-6/7 year olds. I would describe it as almost like a permanent carnival- like those kinds of rides. little roller coaster, the cars they sit in that just go around in a circle, carosel, that kind of stuff. There is also a water area side, with a big splash area, lazy river, and some big water slides for the older kids. we had a great day. You can bring your own lunch and snacks in, which is nice. BUT... all that said.... Its pretty small, and I don't know if its worth a drive from LI. We were there from like 10-2, and had seen everything, most stuff more than once.

Land of make believe
We live in NYC and have been there a few times. I love it and so does DD. It's cheap entry, free parking and you can bring your own food (picnic area) and IMO it's the perfect size for little ones. Enough to do but not too overwhelming. The pool area is nice, they have a lazy river and some slides plus some small roller coasters and rides to go on.

Re: Land of make believe
I also live in NJ and I wasn't crazy about it. The day we went they ended up closing the pool because a child pooped so we left early. They decided not to reopen it after cleaning and there was still a good hour-hour and half left at the park. Even though I am in NJ, I am a good hour and half away and I was underwhelmed to say the least. We also went with a group of friends. For a smaller place, I loved StoryBook Land in Little Egg Harbor, NJ. It is really clean, very shaded and easy to get to. It is right off the Garden State and very close to Atlantic City.

Land of make believe
I have not heard good things about Land of Make Believe. I feel like you are better off going to Adventureland.
