What do you ladies think of my plan
So for those who don't remember, I had a chemical 2 cycles ago. DH and I were not exactly TTC the way we did with DD (who ultimately was conceived thru IUI) but we threw caution to the wind and left it up to the fertility Gods. After we lost that pregnancy, both of us realized how much we wanted and were ready for another baby. So with my OB's approval, we TTC the very next month. I got all caught up in the whole "most people conceive again right way" hubbub that I figured (and hoped) we would get lucky again. We are on cycle 2 since the chemical. AF is due tomorrow. I'm not sure how I'm feeling and of course I'm reading into all my symptoms, however, with both of my pregnancies I would have sworn AF was right around the bend. I don't plan to test until Saturday. But I'm already thinking ahead.
My plan is to TTC on our own 3x. This will give us one more shot if this cycle is a bust. After that, I am gong to go back to my RE. Last time I saw him I had been TTC for over a year and there were really no issues to be found with mine or DH's fertility. We ended up having a successful IUI on the first shot. I'm torn bc now that I have gotten pregnant on my own, I don't know what my best options are. And bc I lost that last one, I keep wondering if maybe I'm not meant to get pregnant on my own. In which case maybe I should just go straight to my RE after this cycle starts.
What do you ladies think? I guess I'm just rambling and looking for some thoughts to keep my mind occupied while I wait for the expected arrival of dear AF.

honestly unless you have a specific treatment plan of meds from an RE having a chemical has nothing to do with having done an IUI or getting pregnant naturally. the chance of a chemical is no different with either approach barring additional meds.
as far as your plan, its not for us to judge. its what you and your DH are comfortable with. if you know you can get pregnant on your own, and dont plan to be treated specially by the RE except for the purpose of having an IUI, i personally dont see the need to go back to an RE so quickly. also an IUI working in one shot last time doesn't mean anything about it working so fast this time. i would just try to remember that the outcome you want is a baby - if it happens naturally, via IUI, this month, or in three months, its not going to matter much in the long run. i wish someone had told me that when we were TTC and i felt so strongly about conceiving naturally (although i ultimately ended up doing IVF anyway). in the end you just want a baby.
my long winded point is that there is no "best" option in this situation. there is only what is best for you and your DH and your family. its all about the end goal and how much importance you want to place on getting pregnant on your own. good luck with whichever approach you take!!
