birthday party for 5 y/o Huntington area
Any suggestions? Do not want a bounce place or bowling! Looking for something different. Was hoping to find a chocolate or ice cream party. TIA!

She does this in Huntington also. We went to one and it was very cute! But not so great for rambunctious kids, as they are required to sit in their seats pretty calmly and there is no room to do anything other than the baking projects.

We went to a party at the ice cream shop. The party part is ok, but the ice cream part is a let down. You only put sprinkles on a cup of ice cream.

Re: birthday party for 5 y/o Huntington area
Did Ben & Jerry's for my daughters 6th birthday in March. We had her 3rd bday there too! They do a great job, it's a nice change of pace. They do tie dye t shirts (kids just pick the colors), dance party, games, tour of the freezer and scoop shop. We also brought in a piñata. Everyone loved it

I was thinking of the ice cream shoppe. I've never been. Why do you think it's too young?
Definitely not too young! I've been to parties for 4year olds there and they were fine - I wouldn't have younger than four and only because they have bench seating for pizza and kids younger than 4 tend to fall backwards too easily ;)
We did DD's 5th birthday there and it was great. Planning on doing DD #2 in January for her fifth because most of her classmates will still be 4.
I also don't think the ice cream part is a disappointment - it's enough for the 4-6 year olds - they are happy pouring whatever toppings they want on :)
I've also been to Ben and Jerry's and it was fun. The Elwood movie theater does parties and so does plaster craft in commack.
NYSC also does kids parties but I'm not sure about the one in Huntington. I know deer park does and they did a great job.

Adventureland, KZam, laser land hauppauge, west sports in Huntington, there another place in Huntington where it's an arcade paintball, mini golf also one of my top places chuckee cheese never gets old especially for 5 year olds. Not impressed with ice cream shoP in smith town. Paint a Piece or Plaster fun craft is fun.
