Meal Planning!
As September is almost here (YIKES!) I thought it might be helpful if we could share some of our go to recipes (especially any that are crockpot or make ahead). That's what I'm looking for help with!! I was lucky (kinda) my DH was laid off after Sandy so he was home with our girls so he could make dinner. Now he's working and the girls are in daycare so we will be getting home late and I dont want dinner to be a scramble! GO AHEAD! Share! (i just have to provide a recipe!) THANKS!

Meal Planning!
This is my go-to crockpot meal: http://www.skinnytaste.com/2008/11/crock-pot-chicken-taco-chili-4-pts.html
She has a lot of other recipes too you can check out, i love her site. DH makes his homemade spaghetti sauce in a crockpot but I'm drawing a blank on some of the others. One of the things we've done when I've gone away for a long time and DH had to fend for himself is I spent a weekend and made a whole bunch of meals that he likes, and we froze them. Then every night he would take out a meal for the next day. A lot of meals can be frozen, you just need the right containers. We put soups, chilis, stews, etc, in plastic freezer bags. Casseroles can go in metal tins so they can go right in the oven. I wrapped them in foil then put the tins in Gallon ziplocs to prevent freezer burn.
