Hi. We just moved to East Meadow and looking for an occasional sitter for my 2 boys. Ages 5 and 7. What is the going rate now and anyone have anyone they can recommend close by?

$15 seems to be most common for someone who is college age or above. Don't have anyone to recommend, but I've had good luck with sitter city and care.com

Hi. I am looking for someone to babysit on occasional date nights and times when there is stuff going on at school in the evening. I would prefer someone without kids so they can come to my home and put my kids to bed by 7:30

The day care that has DS Pre-K contract quoted me $11/hr for non-Pre-K coverage hours.
This is Long Island too, not that far from you.
