If you have been to Field Station Dinosaurs in NJ
DH is going to take our 2yo and 4yo to Field Station this weekend.
Is 2 hours enough time to see everything and the shows?
Is the park small enough that my 2yo can walk the whole place without a stroller?
Is there a restaurant on site?

Re: If you have been to Field Station Dinosaurs in NJ
We were there for at least two hours and we did not do anything but walk and look at each dinosaur. My husband has no patience for the shows or activities. We read each description and took lots of pictures. The first couple of dinosaurs were pretty intense until my 4 yo realized they were not real. There is a big hill at one point and it was hot with no shade so bring hats and sun screen. We brought our BOB. The walks are not paved and dusty. They did have food but we did not eat there. The exit is through the gift shop. We enjoyed it and my son still talks about it weeks later.

We took our 2 year old last month. We saw everything in 2 &1/2 hours. He didn't wind up using the stroller even though we brought it in with us. There was a covered picnic area and they sell snacks, pizza and burgers. We brought our lunch so dont know how the food is. Have fun!

DH is going solo with our boys and his friend and his daughter. I will tell him not to take the stroller. I feel it will be a liability to push. If 2yo gets tired, he can carry him on his shoulders.

The shows are the best part of the place IMO, so I wouldn't miss those. At least not the one near the Dig Site under the canopy. It's very interactive, and fun!

I will be sure to tell DH to look at the show schedules. He plans to take the boys at opening tomorrow at 10.
Is the Dig Site where they can dig for fossils?
2yo DS saw a youtube video of the fossil dig area and is soooooooooo excited.

Yes! That was fun, but be aware, that there are a lot of bees in that area for some reason! At least there was when we were there!
