NT Scan
Do you get the results of the scan immediately or do you have to wait? My appt for the scan is at 12.5 weeks and at that pt I'd really like to start telling family and frieds, but I'd also like to have scan results back first. Basically wondering if I'll be able to make calls that weekend or wait even longer. TIA!

NT Scan
I had mine a week ago today. They told me that they would only call if something were wrong. I didn't like that so I called today at the one week mark just to make sure. Now I'm coming out of the preggo closet!

Re: NT Scan
Congrats!! Glad to hear things came back good for you.
Okay so it sounds like I have to wait. I guess that's the norm when it comes to pregnancy...waiting! My mother will be more frustrated than me. She's the only one that knows and is dyyyying to tell people! haha

NT Scan
My Ob does the blood a week before the NT scan so that the results could be given at the same time as the scan.

NT Scan
I found out the results of the ultrasound the same day but I had to wait three days for the results of the blood work.

Re: NT Scan
Thanks Ladies! I just called and bumped my appt up a few days. I really don't want to be 13.5 weeks before I can spill the beans!! Plus, I'm anxious to get the results. The scan will now be at 11w5d....the office said that's perfectly within the timeframe to have the scan - should be between 11w and 13w. I hope that's right!!

Re: NT Scan
Is the blood work done at your regular OB or at the same place where the NT scan is being done? I'm so confused - I feel like IVF was easier than this! haha

I think it depends on the office.
My regular OB's office does sono and the bloodwork but then they send out the bloodwork to a lab.

Re: NT Scan
Ahh okay. Thanks Ladies! My sono is at NorthShore also but my OB didn't mention the blood work (I already had the Counsyl panel and they had said they'd do the Finger Prick at the scan). I do have a regular OB appt at 12w2d so that's only four days post NT scan. I'll make sure the OB does any necessary bloodowrk. Thank goodness for this board!

The fingerprick was the only bw I had to do. My office doesn't do bw and I usually have to go to a lab but they were able to do the fingerprick in office.

Re: NT Scan
Crashing. I know this sounds horrible but how do I know if my last sono was an NT scan??? I had blood work done which I was told that day everything is fine. I did the finger prick that day as well. I don't even have my next sono scheduled. I go to the high risk dr thurs but that's just cuz they work with the midwives on twins. I feel like I was more on top of my IF issues than this pregnancy. I am a total bone head pregnant!!

Did they check the neck fold? How far along were you at the scan? If you did the fingerprick, I'm going to assume it was the NT scan.
Do you go to Stonybrook midwives and the high risk dr in their office?

I've seen a couple of the HR dr's there. I'm HR b/c of the PG induced hypertension. Midwives rejected me b/c of it lol.
