Red Rock Canyon Freemont Street The show at Treasure Island used to be good but then they changed it, but its still entertaining. My favorite thing, idk why because its just water, is the fountain in front of the Bellagio
also, the pawn shop where Pawn Stars if filmed is not as interesting as you would think lol

Re: tell me about Vegas
There are a few shooting ranges that are fun.
Planet Hollywood has great shops...love the Bettie Page boutique!
The drinks at Sammy Hagar's Cabo Wabo restaurant are really good.
If you can spare a day to take a bus out to the Grand Canyon, you should...it's an amazing thing to see! But if not, plan for it for another time.

Re: tell me about Vegas
We were there last year and stayed at The Venetian. We took one day to walk around and look at all the different hotels and casinos which was a lot of fun because they all have different themes.
We did the gondola ride in the Ventian - very romantic and relaxing.
Check out the Bellagio fountains at night.
The erupting volcano outside of The Mirage is pretty cool.
Going to the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris hotel was fun too.
If you're into shows, we saw The Phantom of the Opera (Venetian) and LOVE (Mirage.) I loved both of them, DH wasn't a big fan of Phantom but he really enjoyed LOVE.

Just going through a lot of the hotels can be fun - many of them have things to see or do - like New York New York has a roller coaster on the outside of the building, I love the Chiluilly (sp?) glass exhibit at the Bellagio & Wynn (I think) , the fountains at Bellagio, the godola ride at the Venetian. If you can get to the Grand Canyon, its amazing, but Red Rocks is also beautiful and very close to the strip.
If you want to see any shows, there are a bunch of Cirque du Soleil shows that are great - 2 faves are "O" and La Reve, and I've heard really good things about the Beatles Love show too.

Re: tell me about Vegas
If you're interested in shows, I can't recommend Love (The Beatles show) enough and La Reve was really good. I thought O was just ok. Definitely take time to just go around and see the big hotels, walk the strip. Check out who's playing at the House of Blues, they have some really good shows there, you might get lucky and have someone cool performing while you're in town.
I love Vegas but haven't been there in a few years since having kids. There are always good clubs if you're into that but I wouldn't know which ones they are now.

You will. Don't walk in there with a yardlong and a credit card. I have something from 2010 still with the tags attached.

Re: tell me about Vegas
Definitely try to take in at least one show. If I was going back anytime soon, I would see Love. After wanting to see O for years, I fell asleep during it!
The fountains at the Bellagio are one of my favorite things to see. I've done most of the touristy stuff on the strip. Love the roller coaster at NY, NY, and I love going to the stop of the Stratosphere. Eat dinner in the revolving restaurant there if you can. Amazing views!
I love all the cheesy stuff like the Gondola ride through the mall at the Venetian, the show outside Treasure Island, etc. DH and I spent a week there and still didn't do everything! I love just exploring the different casinos and seeing all of the hotels. The themed ones are good cheesy fun.

I really like the casinos and hotels. I'm not a big show person or a big shopper. My #1 place to go and I spend a lot of time there is Casino Royal. It's a ****** hole in the wall casino between Harrahs and the Flamingo but I just love it! Bellagio is awesome and it's a lot of fun to go to Paris, NY NY, MGM and so on. My 1st trip I just went to every hotel on the strip and explored. I had a blast! Also check out the Stratosphere. It is very very cool :)

Re: tell me about Vegas
We stayed at the Aria, it was beautiful loved it! We did the spa passes and really enjoyed the outdoor private pool.
If you are into clubs, when we went I had researched a lot on trip advisor and contacted some promoters to get on guest lists. We saw the Zumanity show which was entertaining. We walked around and explored/gambled at a lot of the different hotels. We had dinner at the Gordon Ramsey steakhouse in Paris hotel.

Re: tell me about Vegas
My dh and i go about every other year. We saw O first, it was great, we had awesome seats and got wet. We saw Love, which was good, but neither of us are into the Beatles (the show came free with the room and the seats were awful). We saw Terry Fator one year, he does an adult puppet show. We saw a burlesque show one year. We also saw David Copperfield another year.
We went to the outlets one year. We went to Freemont street another year.
When it is not 110 degrees I like to walk up and down the strip to look at all the hotels and their attractions.
I always like to see one Cirque show every time we go. Our last trip we booked when we go to the strip and the show I wanted to see was not playing.
