please help! 5 month old pooping 5 times a day! not BF
My 5 month old had been pooping once a day with enfamil gentlease and fruit/cereal. Last week he started pooping 5 times a day and waking himself up in the middle of the night with poop! It has completely ruined his sleep and he has a slight rash.
I am now just giving rice cereal and bananas but it's not stopping. I see no teeth and his drool is minimal. He chews on toys but this just seems out of the ordinary.
Has anyone been through something similar? I feel like I'm missing something.TIA

Be happy its coming out & not staying in. Babies digestive track changes as they grow. 5 times seems pretty normal to me.

is it watery and mucousy when he poops? My ds started pooping like 10 times a day with loose stools and then found out he had a milk allergy.. not sure if its similar or not.. But he was on Enfamil gentlease and he used to have the most explosive poops :(
