Breastfeeding and calorie intake
Hi! For any nursing mamas who have some baby weight to lose, how many calories are you eating? Are you losing on that amount? I really want to lose, but am afraid of going extreme.

Breastfeeding and calorie intake
Hi, I'm a nursing Mom too. I'm doing weight watchers. I get 33 points a day. I'm not sure how many calories that is; but I'm 2 weeks in; and my 1st week I lost 6.4 lbs! No exercise at all. I'm able to still keep up with nursing my son (and pumping at work). I make sure to eat all my points even if it's 10pm. Like I said; i've only been at this 1 week. I go to weight in again on Friday and I'll let you know how my milk supply is at the end of the week.

I think it is recommended to have between 1500-1800 calories day depending on your body type, how much you have to lose, and the amount of exercise you do.

I think you burn around 500 extra calories BF, depending on how often, etc. So I would add 500 to however many calories you used to need. And try to eat really clean- - lots of veggies and lean protein and good fat. Make sure to get good fat in bc that is what baby needs.
