Intro and question
Hi everyone... DH and I just started TTC in August and wanted to just "going with the flow" for the first few cycles, so I hadn't posted on here yet. I have done a little research on here but not a ton, so here is my question since you all seem to be much more knowledgeable than I am. AF was due yesterday but never came. I first tested on Saturday and it was negative (but I knew it was early). I tested last night and it was a pretty faint positive (on a First Response). I tested against this morning, one day after AF was due, and it was a little darker but still somewhat faint. What does this mean? Should I continue testing to see if it gets darker over the next few days? Is there a possibility that this is a chemical? I'm totally confused. I feel pretty normal except that I have had a little bit of a headache the past two days (but realize that could be from anything).
Edited: I think I am about 16 or 17 DPO, if that helps at all. I don't know for sure but am pretty sure I O'ed on 9/16 or 17.

I would test again with a Clear Blue Easy Digital...it says either Pregnant or Not Pregnant...but I would wait till tomorrow or Saturday to do that.
ETA: The fact the lines are getting darker are a good sign...shows the hormone level is rising each day. Sometimes it's too early to test.

Thanks everyone for your responses! I retested last night and this morning and am feeling more confident now. I guess I just expected the lines to be darker initially since it was after AF was due. Good luck to all!
