daycare lunch
My ds is 12m and barely eats. He still lives off milk in his sippy cup. When I am home with him I try and sneak bites of food into his mouth all day but I know they are not going to do that at day care. What food is everyone sending to day care for their 12m olds?

Re: daycare lunch
i was sending him in with mac and cheese or chickennuggets. I found that ds ate really well at daycare and horribly at home. He was willing to try everything and anything from his teachers. Blew my mind.. the teacher really worked with him adn put my mind at ease because he would choke a lot. no issues...good luck!!

Same here. Dd hates to eat at home. Like barely 1/2 oz. of anything. In daycare she was finishing the 3 oz. jars of food! They have a magic touch there.

daycare lunch
Ds feta food there but ate great. Being around the other kids helped. He saw them eating so he would eat.

Re: daycare lunch
My DS is almost 13mos and we send him to daycare with:
Oatmeal
Egg salad Chicken salad Meatloaf & mashed potatoes Pasta (mini bowties), meatball & sauce Chicken & rice (Very often, our leftovers from the night before)
Yogurt Fruit (cut up strawberries, banana, etc) Cheerios
Our pediatrician recommended no more than 20 oz of milk per day at his age, so we are trying to be creative

daycare lunch
DD always ate much better at daycare then she did at home. I guess it's b/c they see the other kids eating and they just follow. I would send her with some sort of cut up meat protein, cut up fruit and veggie. I also sent her with snacks that way if she didn't want to eat her lunch, she had something nice to snack on.
