Gagging stage 3
DD just turned 9 months and ped said we can start giving her stage 3. She seems to be gagging on it though. She has 2 bottom front teeth. Is this common?

Gagging stage 3
My DD hates the stage 3 food.. We went right to table food at 10 months because she would gag and not eat it.

Re: Gagging stage 3
My DD refused Stage 3, she thought it was nasty. She would not touch it. So we skipped it and at 6-7 months we went right to table foods. (Scrambled eggs, meatballs, pasta, cheese, yogurt, anything soft). She did great........and she had NO teeth until age 1.

Gagging stage 3
DD HATED Stage 3 food. The first time I tried to give it to her, she threw up. We went right to table food then.

Gagging stage 3
Many babies have issues with stage 3 cause it's a hybrid. Purée with chunks. They can handle the different textures at once.

This Ds is the almost 8 months and is the same way. We starred giving him some table food and is doing great. We started with cut up carrots and avocados.

Re: Gagging stage 3
Take it away.. It confuses them and can cause feeding issues... Just try small bits of table food.

Gagging stage 3
DD is almost 10 months, and has no teeth. But she likes to chew table food. We have given her pancakes...toast..lo mein...pizza..pasta..etc. But she HATES the chunky stage 3. So I only give her ones that aren't super chunky like the oatmeal or some of the veggies. We mostly give her stage 2..thicken with oatmeal...or give the stage food with table food so she is chewing.

Gagging stage 3
I never bothered with stage 3. Just went right to small pieces of table food when dd was ready. I feel like its cheaper and probably healthier to just give her what we're eating. And she enjoys picking small pieces up and putting them in her mouth herself.

Gagging stage 3
We had feeding therapy & she said NEVER give stage 3. It's too confusing for them with the mixed textures. Your best bet is continue stage 2 & start slowly giving regular table food. Good Luck

Re: Gagging stage 3
I didn't even bother with stage 3 for DS. He eats stage 2 jars and table food.
