Just found out I am miscarrying.......
.....and I should be measuring 10 weeks 2 days & baby only is measuring 6weeks 2 days (up from 5weeks 6 days a week ago). He didn't even give the option of listening for heartbeat. I am 100% certain of the date of my LMP. So this is measuring so far behind I didn't even push the issue. Besides in hindsight, I realize now the majority of my symptoms disappeared about 3 weeks ago anyhow.
Doctor gave me option of waiting it out or scheduling D & C.
Any advice? My instinct is to wait it out & let it happen naturally. Not sure how long I can wait that out though

just went through something similar. Opted for d&c as this was my third loss( so they could test what they are able to get). D&C was easy and painless and i havent really had any bleeding or cramping. at least with the d&c its over and controlled as to never knowing when you will actually miscarry. good luck!

Just found out I am miscarrying.......
I'm so sorry!! It really sux - excuse my language but there's no way to sugar coat it!!! :(

Im so sorry... i have had 5 losses and have both waited for natural and had multile D&Cs , the D&Cs move things along but arent any easier so it's really just a choice. Hang in there...

Awful.  So sorry.
Nothing is worse. I've had multiple losses and 4 D&Cs. I had a terrible experience with a natural miscarriage and a D&C which needed to be completed again. But I think I'd still choose a D&C. I normally have bad periods with cramping, etc but after going through labor, I can say even an early miscarriage can mimic those same pains or feelings. Whatever you choose take some time off to grieve.

my doctor wanted to do a D&C for my second mc so we could do testing. But, I found out I lost the baby on a Thurs and we couldnt get the D&C scheduled until the following Monday. I ended up passing everything naturally the Friday before while at pre-surgical testing. The physical mc was not bad at all, but I was emotionally unprepared for that and the aftermath (saving everything and sitting for hours in the ER for them to take it for testing). I also would hate to walk around and wonder if/when I might start gushing blood.
I would schedule the D&C immediately, or a few days out if you can lay low at home until then. But, thats just based on my own experience passing tihngs unexpectedly

I'm so sorry. I had a natural mc and it really is such a personal choice. I've told this to other girls on this board...the only reason I would've opted for a D&C (if I had to do it all over again) is because you never know when the natural one will happen. And I happened to be driving myself home from work when it started.
I'm so sorry that you even have to make this choice.

Thanks girls......I am surprisingly not freaking out like I thought.....but guessing that has to do with the sono not being promising last week. Like I had a week to get it in my head that it wasn't going to be good.
But after thinking about it for last 2 days, I am going to go back Monday to the Dr. as he requested. If by Monday, nothing is happening on it's own, then I will schedule the D&C. I am going to go to work this weekend as scheduled because this way if I have to schedule it OR it starts on it's own before that, I can take a few days.

Thanks girls. It hasn't been awful not, not like what the Dr said...the clots aren't terrible but guessing that could take a day or 2 more? It's been bright red only & not very heavy, but I feel crampy/achy today
