Suggestions for my cat
DH & I have 2 cats; ages 2.5 and 1.5 years. We don't let them sleep in our bedroom at night because when they do their "cat-ercises" at 2:00 a.m., we don't want to be woken up. Our 2.5 y/o cat doesn't seem to mind, and we never hear him at night. But all of a sudden, our 1.5 y/o cat is chirping (he doesn't really meow - just makes high pitched squeaks) at our door at 2:00 a.m./3:00 a.m./4:00 a.m. To make matters worse, now he's trying to open the closet door where his food is, so I hear that and it wakes me up too! Any suggestions on how to get him to stop?! I tried playing with him right before bed, but most of the time he's sleepy or doesn't want to. I upped his food amount as per the vet, but that hasn't stopped it either. I love him, but he's annoying the **** out of me! lol

Re: Suggestions for my cat
My cat use to meow & yelp early hours of the morning then jump on our bed at 5am ish because he wanted attention. Since we have a spare room, we put him in there overnight and he's been a happy cat ever since.

Re: Suggestions for my cat
My parents have health issues and desperately need any sleep they can get. Their cat is relatively young and is a real stinker.... she bites my dad's toes if he moves them :)
So they use the air spray can and put it outside their bedroom door at night. If she gets too close to the door, it sprays and she runs away.
