Vegetable for thanksgiving.
I'm in charge of veggie dishes. I'm making cauliflower au gratis and want to make so,etching else. Would love to do green beans but my family doesn't like it. I don't like Brussels sprouts which is what my mom wants. Any suggestions?

Re: Vegetable for thanksgiving.
I was thinking about roasted broccoli but I feel that is boring and I don't consider corn a vegetable :) I kinda wanted something a little more interesting. Braised leeks might be good...we have never had that!

Re: Vegetable for thanksgiving.
My mom always does creamed onions as one of the veggie sides. It's the one time of year that I will eat them.
Are potatoes/starches covered?

Re: Vegetable for thanksgiving.
I do a shredded Brussels sprout recipe that I got at Stew Leonard's. it's delicious! I'm also doing a mixed veggie sautéed. It has green and yellow zucchini, broccoli, and portobello mushrooms just sautéed with some oil, butter and garlic. It's my personal favorite. I'll chop everything the day être so it's ready to go and then sautéed the day of.
