What are some substitutes for Goya products like Sofrito and Sazon (to eliminate MSG and other preservatives)?

For my sofrito I make one whole onion, a handful of cilantro, 1/2 red or green pepper (depending what's on sale), garlic (I buy the minced-about 1 tablespoon) Sometimes I add a tomato, depending on what I am making. I will sometimes make a big batch with about 8 onions, 3 peppers, a bunch of cilantro, about 4 tablespoons of garlic and put it in the food processor. I then freeze it in small containers for everyday cooking. I have no clue about Sazon. Hope this helped!
