Tubal ligation question
I already requested my tubes be tied during my c section. I have read that sometimes women still accidentally become pregnant despite the tubal. I am trying to decide how hard I should push DH to also have a vasectomy. Let's just say at this point in my life pregnancy is a life threatening condition. I definitely shouldn't and don't want to be pregnant again. This pregnancy is turning into a nice surprise but I was fairly devastated when I first found out and for health reasons I don't think my doctor was exactly thrilled.

Re: Tubal ligation question
I just had mine done during my c/s 6 weeks ago. When talking to my doc she said it could fail in the future. She's seen women come in 10 years later, pregnant. It's not that the clip didn't work but the tubes actually grow another way around the clip!
It's not foolproof. If another pregnancy would be life threatening I'd push your DH for the vasectomy too. For him it's much easier and recovery is usually only a few days.

Re: Tubal ligation question
I just had mine done 3 weeks ago after my dd was born. My Dr said vasectomy was more reliable. There are different procedures used in the ligation. Heard some are more reliable
