Sunny the chicken and two of her sisters, marguerite and Genevieve are still alive and well. They will be 8 years old on march 24th which is about 110 for a chicken! This winter is rough for them, Genevieve especially. She has chicken dementia, she falls asleep while she's eating or walking, she forgets to go in the coop at night and she's really thin, so we feed her alot of snacks and keep an eye on her. Some days like today they don't even come out of the coop, it's just too cold.
The big news on the farm is the bunnies! I have a pair that are about 9 months old. I was not sure what sex they were because they were babies when I got them. Well we found out the day before thanksgiving we have a boy and a girl because she gave birth to 6 adorable kits! Momma and the babies are all as healthy as can be and the babies are just about ready to be adopted. I will post some pics later but if anyone would like to adopt a beautiful, handraised pet rabbit, let me know. 2 of them have homes waiting already.
