Kennel Cough
Our pup is from a rescue, they gave me antibioitic to go home with and dr. said robitussin, there is NO coughing BUT I hear congestion.
When can I bring him around my other dog, right now we have been keeping him crated and I feel terrible about it.
Today is a week he has been home with us. Today is the last day of the medicine - antibioitc, but we will continue the cough syrup.

Re: Kennel Cough
I would call your vet to see how long but IMO, I would keep them separate a lil longer. KC is easily treatable but also spreads quickly! I tend to lean more on the side of caution!
You also have to be careful with the EBD breathing since you currently hear congestion--they are known for breathing problems. You might want to not overdue playtime with your other dog.
Does he cough up phlegm? Lemon juice is great for cutting through that phlegm---a little squirt in the mouth works to loosen that phlegm up!
I would also give his crate/bedding etc. a good washing!

Re: Kennel Cough
we got our dog from north shore & he had kennel cough.... it sounds like a backwards sneeze, if that makes sense lol he never sounded congested, it was more like a barky cough & then a backwards sneeze... he also had slime coming out of his nose

Kennel Cough
Kennel cough lasted 3 months for my dog and required a few different antibiotics and nebulization. it was torture to see my baby so sick for so long but until he's healthy you shouldn't bring him around other dogs as its highly contagious. You'll need a lot of patience but it will get better!
