Ground Turkey
Was thinking of making turkey meatballs tonight.
Share your fav turkey meatball recipe or what else I can do with it.
I just made a turkey chili recipe recently so don't want to do that again.
Thanks!

Re: Ground Turkey
I make chicken meatballs- but I am sure it's the same for turkey. Comes out awesome!
1 pound ground chicken (or turkey) 1/2 cup bread crumbs 1/2 cup grated parm or romano cheese 9 cloves crushed garlic (divided) 1 egg 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (I use dried parsley in a pinch) 64 oz chicken broth or stock Bag of frozen broccoli florets Extra Virgin Olive Oil Salt, pepper, red pepper flakes to taste 1 lb penne pasta 1/4 cup white (or red) wine
Bring the chicken broth and wine to a slow boil in a pot. While that is boiling make the meatballs. Combine the ground meat, bread crumbs, grated cheese,5 cloves of garlic, parsley, salt and pepper and egg in a bowl. Mix well. Form into meatballs Put some EVOO in a frying pan and fry the meatballs on all sides until brown. Drop the browned meatballs into the boiling broth/wine mixture and let simmer for 30 minutes. While doing this, add the broccoli , a few red pepper flakes (to taste) and remaining 4 crushed garlic cloves to the pan where you fried the meatballs. Add more oil if needed. Cook until broccoli is tender. When 30 minutes is up, remove meatballs from broth and place on top of broccoli. Use this broth to cook your pasta in.
Comes out AMAZING!

Ground Turkey
We don't eat beef, so we only use ground turkey- just replace it with whatever you would use the beef for.
For Turkey meatballs, my neighbor made turkey meatballs as usual (with egg, parm cheese, breadcrumbs, seasoning) and then rolled the meatball in breadcrumbs after you form the ball. He then fried them and served them buttered egg noodles and turkey gravy. it was really good (although not too healthy)

Not traditional at all but I love the ST greek turkey meatballs. I bake them bc I'm lazy and serve with her tzaziki, pitas, and Ina Garten's chunky greek salad. One of my absolute favorite meals to cook.

Re: Ground Turkey
i make stuffed peppers with ground turkey. I brown the turkey with onion and garlic, add brown rice, black beans, peas or corn if I have and a little red sauce. Stuff the peppers with mixture and put a little more tomato sauce on top.

Sounds really good. Do they get dried out? I made Greek meatballs yesterday, flavorful, but so dry.

Not at all. Nice and moist. I really like the ground chicken- to me it tastes better than the turkey.
