Slow cooker question
I want to make white chicken chili tomorrow before I leave for work. The recipe says to cook the chicken and onions first and then put in slow cooker. I feel like that would take too much time in the morning and then I would have to do dishes. Can I just put the chicken and onions in raw? What is the reason for cooking the chicken first?

Slow cooker question
In some cases I can see precooking, when you want to brown meat for example. In this case, I wouldn't bother cooking it ahead of time. Your onions will soften up and chicken cooks up pretty quickly in the crockpot.
