Those with Gluten Sensitivity
What were your symptoms? How did eating gluten effect you? I am just curious if my stomach issues lately might be related to gluten.

Those with Gluten Sensitivity
Ive had severe stomach pains since the beginning of January. My mom has Celiac for about 10yrs, my sister was just diagnosed in November.
Symptoms/Gluten Related issues: Ive had recurrent miscarriages, i get whats called chicken skin on my hands, i have had dhiarreah on an off since Jan as well. I have Hashimotos disease.
I saw my moms Dr last monday and he called on Monday night and told me that my bloodwork came back with the Celiac marker elevated. I'm having an upper endoscopy on Monday to diagnose for sure.

Re: Those with Gluten Sensitivity
I've had a host of stomach issues for about 10 years. They thought I had crohns and treated me for about a year but it ended up being a misdiagnosis. We ended up with gastroparesis and IBS. The ONLY thing that helps me is eating low in gluten and dairy. I dont need to be 100% off of it but about 80-90% and I feel perfectly fine! eta I feel like i have way more energy when I'm gf as well

Re: Those with Gluten Sensitivity
Constant bloating especially after eating (I mean like, I'll go from flat to 4 months preggers in seconds), stomach cramping, excessive gas trapped and cant pass it, constipation for days followed by the complete opposite, my ovaries would hurt sometimes due to the pressure of the gas, stomach rumbling after eating, very tired, anxiety, panic attacks, "chicken skin" on the backs of my arms, and I was gaining weight and couldn't loose it no matter what.
About 3 weeks after going gluten free I noticed a huge difference. If I do come in contact with gluten I have symptoms within 2 hours to 1 day after eating and the symptoms can last up to a week for me.
I also want to note that I stopeed drinking beer about 5 years ago because every time I had some it upset my stomach and I felt "off". That should have been my first clue, but I was still eating pasta and bread without an issue so I didnt realize it was a gluten problem. It wasnt until last year that suddenly EVERYTHING was bothering my stomach. Sometimes it builds up in your body over time until you just can't process it anymore.

Similar experiences here. Not just gluten, but anything with soy products or corn products as well.

I'm fortunate that I don't seem to have any sensitivity to corn or soy, but many people who are sensitive to gluten are also sensitive to soy, dairy, corn, and other grains like oats. It gets so frustrating in the beginning trying to figure out what your body can and can't tolerate!

I've had a very similar experience. My stomach is HORRIBLE when I eat gluten. I am having issues with willpower though!

Re: Those with Gluten Sensitivity
I find that on days I don't have any wheat products my stomach feels much better. Not sure if it's just a cooincidend though. I may have to try elimination for a week or 2 to see . It's just hard because i have NO willpower.
