Low AMH Question...

Hey ladies -

Welcome back to the wonderful world of LIF Chat Icon

I'm asking this for a friend of mine so I can share other stories and advice with them. They just found out after trying on their own for a few months that her AMH is around .9 and were told that their best chance is to go the IVF route. She's going through the monthly round of testing now w/ the RE, but I'd love to share with her any advice you all have. She's under 30 in case that makes a difference.

Is there anything she can start doing now (in terms of supplements, etc) to start to increase AMH?

Does anyone have any success stories with going IUI route with an AMH under 1?

I've already asked some of the ladies on here - but wanted to open it up to the larger group.

Thanks!!! Chat Icon

Re: Low AMH Question...

I have been doing some research on this myself. I've seen anecdoctal information on the internet (I know . . . very trustworthy and reliable) that maca and royal jelly may be helpful. I've started taking both. I figure that it can't hurt and it may help, so what the hell. Although, if you are allergic to bee stings, it may be better not to try the royal jelly.

I'd love to know, though, if anyone has any "tried and true" methods for improving AMH.

Re: Low AMH Question...

I'll preface this by noting that I am markedly older than your friend:

My AMH was .76 during the IVF that resulted in my DD.

My AMH was .24 during the IVF that resulted in my current pregnancy.

I took Royal Jelly in Honey for 6-7 months (1tsp am and 1tsp pm daily). I also took CoQ10 for that period of time (300mg am and 300mg pm).

Good luck to your friend!

Re: Low AMH Question...

I jumped from .28 to .76 doing acu, GFdiet, coQ10, royal jelly, melatonin, pycnogenol and fish oil. Hoping it will show me a good cycle this IVF. I produced 10 eggs last cycle.

My AMH is .03. I did a whole bunch of supplements. I have two children, my second is a result of supplements and IUI after canceled IVF.

I am gearing up for baby number 3 soon and will do the same supplements as before before I start the IVF process.
