Can I put veggies, corn beef, etc. in slow cooker

Can I put veggies, corn beef, etc. in slow cooker
tonight and put in fridge, then just add beer/ water in the am and set to low? Have an early meeting and just trying to save time. I'll have DH add the cabbage like 1/2 way through.

I cut up onions and carrots and left in fridge. Cabbage is cut to add at the end as well. The crockpot is out on the counter. I will rinse the small baby red potatoes and just take the beef out of its package in the morning. This all shouldnt take more than 2-3 minutes.
