Kid Entertainment @ Parties
My daughters christening is in a few weeks & we are having about 10 kids from 10 years old to about 5 years old.
Should I look into a face painter or some sort of entertainment?
Can anyone recommend a reputable good company?
TIA

We had a caricaturist for my sons communion and everyone LOVED it. The kids had so much fun getting their pictures drawn doing what they love and even every adult sat down and did it. We used that as our favor as the guests were able to take home their own 1x14 drawing in plastic. We booked her for a certain amount of hours so some kids got a few done together and separately. FM if you would like her info.

I hired a magician. He was hilarious and everyone including the adults loved him! Tons of people asked me for his number afterwards for their parties.

We used Professional Kid's Entertainment. They were amazing. For $225, we had a clown and magician with balloons, face painting, games, dancing, magic, even a live bunny. Oh, cotton candy and bubbles too. I recommend them 100%.

IMO you don't really need entertainment for a party that really isn't a kids party.

if it's in your budget and you want to do it, I think it's nice. But it's not at all an expected necessity or something I'd stretch or break the budget for - Kids ALWAYS find a way to entertain themselves. I've had both boyss baptisms in VFW halls with 150+ people - no 'entertainment' other than each other The kids had a blast just running around playing. I had the iPod going and a bunch of hula hoops and that kind of stuff .........but I didn't hire anyone to entertain them.

ITA. for DS christening although we had kids there, we did not have entertainment. We did, however have entertainment for his 1st birthday party.

My MIL said the same thing. I was 50/50 but I think I agree since it's just a christening, maybe I'll pass & put the money elsewhere.....Thanks!
