Femara and timing of ovulation?

My doc is recommending Femara so this would be my first cycle taking it. Does it change the timing of ovulation?? I usually ovulate around CD 18-20. Will I still ovulate at the same time?

I'm asking b/c my DH has to travel for work for a couple of days and will be back on CD 16. So I don't want it to make me ovulate earlier or it would be a waste this month since DH would not be in town.

The meds never made me ovulate at a different time. Just gave me more follicles to ovulate with. Though for an IUI, once those follies became the right size, I would be triggered to ovulate for my IUI - so it really depends.

Are you doing timed intercourse or an IUI? If it's an IUI, and you are worried about the timing, maybe your DH can freeze some sperm for the procedure?

Thanks for your reply. We are doing timed intercourse. I have an appt for tomorrow so I will discuss with my doc.
