Help me understand this. UPDATE!!!!
So on Friday I went in for monitoring and they said I had one follicle on the right that's 20mm and two smaller ones on the left around 11.5 and 12.
On Saturday the 20mm was no longer there so they said I'm o'ing. IUI was scheduled for the same day. I went back in and they told me that BW came back that I did NOT O. Went forward with the IUI anyway. Dr. said that sometimes you could O without the surge. Very rare.
I did an OPK this morning and it had two lines.
What am I not getting? Anyone with any insight? I could use your help figuring this out.
thanks Angela
So they had me come in on Monday and bw show that there was a surge. I had another IUI yesterday.
I'm mad about this whole situation. If I hadn't tested we would've missed this cycle. Not to mention it's my last IUI with the insurance, after that I have to pay. I'm so mad at them.

Re: Help me understand this.
Hmmmmmmmmm to me, they may have messed up with that 20mm or it could have been a cyst.
The 2 smaller in the other ovary can be the cause of the surge you have now. You are probably going to ovulate those. I would call the dr office and tell them you just surged. You need bloodwork, a sono and possibly an IUI for this surge.

Re: Help me understand this.
thanks guys, I was also thinking a cyst. Excuse my ignorance but are't they suppose to hurt? I had no pain.
I just called my RE waiting for them to call me back.

No, cysts don't hurt unless they burst or they get really big (I had one I didn't feel until I'd gone 2.5 months without a period and it was 60 mm).
Sometimes growing follicles / cysts just get reabsorbed by your body if you don't have the right hormone surge. You could still ovulate after that. I hope those smaller ones grew quickly and now that's what you're seeing - good luck!

Re: Help me understand this.
ok they've determined that it was not a cyst. My estrogen level was on point for a mature follicle.
I'll know later on today what the results of my bw from this morning says.
