For a 2nd IVF....
Do you need to do the water sono again? Just curious.

For a 2nd IVF....
I think the general rule of thumb is that as long as it was done within 1 year, you're fine.

I don't think u have to. what did ur RE said?
from personal experience, after my IVF I got the water sono and they discovered a polyp which I then had to obviously remove. I didn't have a water sono before going for IVF tho, so not sure whether the polyp was there before or not. But stimming may cause a polyp to appear due to high estrogen. My RE thought that due to such very high estrogen level I had at the time of retrieval it may caused the polyp.
So my point is, I guess it doesn't hurt to get checked again. IMO only obvi.

Did a water sono before IVF #1 Showed polyp, did D&C. Did not repeat before #2. But, this time they wanted to repeat the water sono just in case. Was not a year old, but just to make sure there was nothing there.
I'm glad they suggested it. Better to be safe IMO :)

For a 2nd IVF....
Your saline sonogram should be good for one year. After that, they will require you to get it done again.
