2nd time moms (or 3rd...or 4th..)
When did you start taking out your baby supplies? My DS is only 16 months so everything is freshly packed away (RnP, infant seat, etc). Trying to figure out when to pull it all out to wipe it down and when I should take out and wash DS' nb and 0-3 month clothes. With 2 months to go, I'm realizing I might have to get on top of some things!

I started about 2 months ahead of time, but my DD is 4.5 and I needed to check the condition and see what needed to be replaced. I took out and washed clothes about a month in advance and had everything ready w two weeks to go (DD #2 was a scheduled csection)

3 months prior - and glad I did b/c there was condensation issues in attic and some things got ruined with mildew and I had to replace them. Gave me time to shop etc. And everything had to be washed so I was able to do some here and there.

Re: 2nd time moms (or 3rd...or 4th..)
I am due May 22 and I really don't have anything done. April Break I am moving my older son into the room he will have and then will take some things down from the attic to sort/get ready and put the crib together. I didn't have anything for my first son (we are jewish and a little superstitious). The only reason I am putting the crib together is because I caught DH throwing part of the crib out once and I just want to make sure I have all the pieces before I have the baby so I can get a new one if I need.

Crashing... I started about a month before my due date so the twins could get used to the "stuff" being around and to semi prepare them. I had 2 bins of clothes ready to wash (b/g) once I had the baby and found out the sex my mom washed them for me and filled the dressers.

A month before I plan to start moving with everything. I'm nervous that somehow I'm going to go into labor very early and not get everything done.

Re: 2nd time moms (or 3rd...or 4th..)
I started mentally going through DS' inventory and picking up items we loaned ppl around 2/2.5 months before. My shower was this past Saturday at 35 weeks and I organized all the gifts, clothes and handmedowns by months on Sunday. This weekend, at 36 weeks, I'll start washing and putting away stuff in closets, this process will run till next weekend, since it's a lot of washing, folding and organizing :) So my goal is to be done with everything (including finishing packing my hospital bag) by 37 weeks. The last items will be the bassinet and car seat, which will be assembled by DS while I'm in the hospital to save space.

2nd time moms (or 3rd...or 4th..)
DS #2 was prob about 6 weeks before.... DS#1 was born at 37 weeks.... so my goal was to be ready by 36....
I slowly took out the car seat, put together crib, start washing things that had been packed away etc...
This baby.... well I feel like we are soooooo ahead of the game.... I ordered furniture on clearance and the delivery was so fast (like a week).... so I already have furniture.... and then DH was adamant about painting before the furniture arrived.... so here it is barely 21 weeks and the babies room is painted and furniture is up (covered but up none the less).... I got rid of everything since my stuff was all 9 years old... so I have nothing else to "get ready".... but just like last time- my goal will be to be ready by 36 weeks..... I like to be able to "rest" as much as possible at the end, and want to be ready if there are any surprises ;)

Re: 2nd time moms (or 3rd...or 4th..)
With DS coming 8 weeks today I have already washed all clothing up til 9 months and all the padding to the bouncer, RnP and swing. I have to go the laundry mat and did it little by little. I only wiped down the RnP cause I have it out for my other DS to get used to it. I also washed all my bottles and will have my mom sterlize them when Im in the hospital along with my pump parts.

Re: 2nd time moms (or 3rd...or 4th..)
I'm having a section may 15. I have hardly any clothes from my other kids that are newborn size but i got a lot of used stuff from people. Because so much us used and because my stuff is 6 years old and has been used as doll clothes i preliminarily washed what i have with vinegar, tide and clorox2. I then have the cleaned things in various bins and drawers and my closet. We don't have a room set up yet and likely won't be till I can paint my older daughters new bedroom and buy her a new dresser. We are very unorganized because my husband is injured. I will re wash newborn and 0-3 month stuff in dreft around April 15. I will clean out a storage bin to store it. Very different this go around than the other 2 times.
