BTDT C-Sec Moms question about internal healing? UPDATE
My c sec was almost 4 weeks ago. Yesterday I was feeling great and may have overdone it...like ran up the stairs carrying the vacuum not even thinking...and then cleaned a few rooms. Then a little later, I noticed a grape sized lump above my scar, but on the inside, maybe along my internal incision? It is not visible from the outside, and didn't hurt at all (a little sore today, I'm assuming, bc I was poking at it all last night). My outside scar looks great, has healed nicely, is smooth and narrow (much better than my last scar). Also, the lump I noticed is in the same spot where I felt the most pain after my c-section and the Dr said that my inside sutures were probably tighter on that side, which is why it hurt more.
I'm going to call the Dr tomorrow, just wondering if anyone had anything similar.
***UPDATE*** Went to the Dr today. He wasn't exactly sure what it was, but ruled out hernia and infection. He said its most likely scar tissue, or may have been a fluid pocket or blood clot that my body took care of and calcified. He told me to resist the urge to poke at it and only check it once a week if I must.
Needless to say, I'm very relieved!

Yes you def can injure yourself at 4 weeks. You are still healing inside. I felt great at 4 weeks and picked something up that was heavy and felt a sharp pain inside it made me scream...Dr. Said it can take up to 10 weeks to fully be healed. Most take 8 weeks but it is possible for some people to take longer. Even though you feel great just try to take it easy as much as possible.

Thanks! I'm definitely taking it easier yesterday and today. But it's almost impossible to not have to lift my toddler. I'm hoping it's just scar tissue I feel. I'll update after I talk to the Dr.

Re: BTDT C-Sec Moms question about internal healing?
It might be the internal stitches. I had my section 13 weeks ago and while I'm completely healed, I can still feel the scar tissue/stitching when I run my finger along it. My doc told me at my last appointment that the bumps I feel are my internal stitches.

Oh, wow. I didn't realized they took that long to dissolve on the inside.

BTDT C-Sec Moms question about internal healing?
For me, healing from #2 was much easier than #1. I didn't have that pulling feeling and no pain weeks/months later related to pulling. That being said, I do remember having lumps around the incision area with #1. They told me it was built up scar tissue.

Re: BTDT C-Sec Moms question about internal healing? UPDATE
I had this last c section on the left. It was the same side where I had pain right after surgery. It was like that for a while so I actually went to a general surgeon as suggested by my ob. You could feel the lump. Long story short I was told that usually there is one side that is tighter and sometimes the ligaments/muscle don't close tight and it can push this fascia layer thru the muscle and its totally normal. By product of pregnancy. No surgery. I thought hernia also. Feel better and slow down. It's hard to remember we have to still heal even though we feel pretty good.
