Turks and Caicos or Grand Cayman? UPDATE just got home
I won a free round trip ticket anywhere JetBlue flies when they had their giveaway during the Superbowl and these are my two top choices. Would like to go while it's still cold, maybe end of March.
Suggestions? Favorites? Places to stay? Any input appreciated
Update 3/31/14: had an amazing trip. Will definitely go back. The first 2 days the water was not super super warm, but warm enough! I got used to it rather quickly. Snorkeling was beyond amazing. Restaurants are fantastic but
Weather was divine. There's a lot to see on the island but since we didn't rent a car we took a taxi to another beach just to check it out. Next time will have more to explore.
Thanks again, really glad we chose Grand Cayman.
ps really sucked coming home; i think this is the saddest we've been to come home from a vacation in a while.

Turks and Caicos or Grand Cayman?
The beaches on Turks & Caicos are amazing - soft white sand and truly blue turkoise water - really love it there. (Not that the beaches on Grand Caymen are bad in any way, either, but of all the islands I've been to, I think Turks & Caicos were the mosts beautiful, with Grand Caymen a close second). I stayed at Club Med on Turks, (when I was single), but wouldn't really recommend it and have only been to GC on cruises, so don't know of any hotels there, either. I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Congrats & have fun!

Turks and Caicos or Grand Cayman?
We were in Turks last year. I also used to work in travel so I know all the hotels.
Turks has great hotels, fm me if you need help, and some good restaurants as well.

Turks and Caicos or Grand Cayman?
I've been to both an prefer Grand Cayman. DH and I went to T&C for an anniversary trip a few years ago. We stayed at the Regent Palms which is a gorgeous hotel. While we had a nice time on our trip I didn't really see what all the buzz was about. We went in May and the water was cold. Just remember you're in the Atlantic, not the Caribbean when you go to T&C. I much prefer the bath water of the Caribbean.

Re: Turks and Caicos or Grand Cayman?
I've never been to T & C, but I have been to Grand Caymen & it has the softest sand I 've ever felt. I can't even imagine what T & C is like if it is softer!
Have fun in Grand Caymen!
