Supplements and stimming for IVF
Besides ask my RE...
My RE doesn't really believe in supplements so I'm kinda on my own with them. I was wondering what did you do or what were you advised? (I'm on Femara, Gonal F, & Menopur)
I know prenatals, baby aspirin, CoQ10, Vit D, Vit B, and melatonin are ok. I know DHEA is ok until ER. What about...
L-Arginine
Royal Jelly (capsules)
Selenium
PABA
Evening Primrose Oil
Fish Oil
Probiotic

I was advised no supplements while stimming since they are not regulated.
Butttttt, I would look into ovaboost and fertilaid maybe.

I was told to stop DHEA once I started stims. I have no idea about timing for the other supps.

Aside the ones you listed,
I used Omega 3 fish oil, either a max greens drink or pill or a cellular antioxident defense pill (for new cell growth/repair). I know Melatonin helps with egg quality, so that's fine. I may have used a probiotic too!

Oh yes, I take a probiotic too, forgot that one. Did you continue them while stimming or stop them?

Supplements and stimming for IVF
So random but I was gonna FM you today asking you what you are doing about Royal Jelly and IVF. I forgot to ask about that one.
When I start stimming (Gonal F, Menopur, (HGH)) I will continue to take: vitamin D (I have a deficiency), COQ10, Folgard, Phycogenol, and a prenatal with DHA that I was prescribed.
I think I will stop my fish oil since I will be taking the Prenatal with DHA. I'm not sure about the Royal Jelly... I have heard some say its okay to take until ER....but IDK. I take the capsules too. My RE only suggested COQ10 and Phycogenol so I think he will probably say no to the Royal Jelly.
I'll also be on a steroid- Prednisone so I feel like I'll be taking so many things.
Let me know what you decide! GL

Ok this is what I have decided...
DHEA is for egg quality and I will take it until ER
Baby Aspirin I will continue throughout
L-Arginine I will continue throughout
Ubiquinol (coq10) I will continue throughout
Selenium (for thyroid) I will continue throughout
Probiotics I will continue
VIt E & B I will continue
I will stop:
PABA
Royal Jelly
Evening Primrose (can effect estrogen levels)
Melatonin (Can also effect estrogen levels)
Not sure about the fish oil yet
Might add an extra Vit E...good for the blood

I've been wondering what supplements to stop and continue too. I take 11 supplements/vitamins including an extra dose of Iodine (12.5mg); which I find conflicting info about. The Doctors will tell you to stop since they don't know anything beyond "medicine"; sorta speak.
On that list; I'm a little confused. In the Table it says L-Arginine is continued; but if you scroll down to the bottom of the blog; the girl explains why she stopped L-Arginine b/c of diminished embryo quality and wasn't taking the chance. So which is it? Did she stop it or continue it?
I also take most of my vitamins/minerals separate; instead of taking a Pre-natal. I was on them for years; they obviously didn't do much.

I'll do what you are doing since we have similar issues. I'm on synthroid for thyroid. Will selenium affect me?

I take my synthroid in the morning first thing and the selenium around 2. I've read that it's ok. The CoQ10, make sure it's the Ubiquinol 200mg. Absorbs better or something like that. I'll find that article and post that one too :)
ETA: just make sure they check your thyroid levels at RE
