ANTS!!!!

I'm hoping someone can help me. We didn't have an ant problem in our old home. We started getting a few ants here and there when it was still super cold out. Now that it's getting warmer, it's crazy. I do all the common-sense things - no food out on counters, all food is tightly sealed, no dishes in sink. Every time I see an ant I spray the area with my vinegar spray. I read that ants are repelled by the smell of coffee grinds so I sprinkled them by where I think they're coming in. Didn't work. So I heard sage does the same thing, saw an ant crawling through it. I've read flour and salt, etc., but I can't do it any more. I can't care about the ants. They're making me insane. What has worked for you?

We use an exterminator. Nothing else worked for us.

We had an ant problem in our apartment a few years ago. It literally took MONTHS to get rid of them. They are really hard to get rid of.

Basically, we kept no food around. Cleaned every time we saw ants. Laid traps. And had the exterminator come at least every other week, sometimes weekly. Ants live in your walls and send 1 out to find food. Once a source is found, you will see them travel out in a line. They are endless. And awful.

My suggestion is to lay traps. Lots of them. And invest in an exterminator b/c it will just get worse (and fast!).

Ugh, I'm itching just reading through this again! I will be buying the traps today! Thanks for the help. I guess if it doesn't get better quickly, I'll have to find an exterminator as well. I would never think silly little ants would require all this!

Maxforce Quantum is the only thing that worked for us. We tried it all! You can get it online!

The trick is to find the nest. And the nest is probably in your walls, so just treating the places you can see will not work. You need to treat everywhere and then have the ants carry the poison back to the nest. It's a really tricky balance. That's why I recommend the exterminator.

I had them had this year. They are so hard to get rid of. It took almost 3 weeks, but thankfully they're finally gone. The only thing that worked for us were Terro ant traps.
