Re: Birthday Party time

10 am on a Saturday runs into sports, and 6 on a Friday is hard for working parents -

You can't make everyone happy - I'd go with what you think will work best for your group as a whole.
For ME, it would be 10 am on a Satruday b/c 3/4 of my son's invite lists are they daycare classes, and I myself don't get home until 6:00 .........

Birthday Party time

I would pick 10am on a Sat.

I work so if my DS was invited to a weekday party it will always be a no for me.

I picked Saturday at 10am, but what about doing it the weekend before?

Re: Birthday Party time

I would HATE a Friday night party. By that time my kids are tired and winding down for the night. DS is in bed asleep by 7 and DD by 8 so a party at that time would not be optimal.

I would much prefer a 10am party on a Saturday. I'd rather the baby blow through a nap then deal with anything on a Friday night and mess up bedtimes. After a long week of work and school and with kids bedtimes I think *most* people would find Friday night difficult.

Early Saturday is much nicer, everyone is rested and your whole day isn't killed which is great too!

Re: Birthday Party time

I voted for Friday. I would actually prefer Saturday morning, but we have Saturday morning activities that would interfere.

Birthday Party time

I'm so exhausted from working all week that Friday afternoon wouldn't work for me.

Birthday Party time

Why cant you do sun the weekend before if the wedding is sat? Or the week before that or the week after you get back. Her party doesnt have to be the weekend of her bday. If its really not what you want.

Re: Birthday Party time

For sure on a Friday night. Like another person said, kids have sports on weekends, family activities, etc. I know we have more stuff planned on a Saturday than a Friday night.
