Has anyone recently used dr. Tortoriello or dr. Palter?
Hi All,
Has anyone recently used dr. Tortoriello at SIRM, NYC or dr. Palter at Gold Coast for IVF? I had a consultation with both, which I liked but now can't decide which doctor to choose. I'm 40 yrs, trying to TTC for 2 yrs naturally and had one failed IVF 6 months ago.
Any feedback on any of these doctors would greatly be appreciated.

I would post this question on the IF board. I have heard lots of great things about Dr. T.

I have seen both, currently a patient of Dr. T .
My opinion-- Dr. P is brilliant but was not able to help us. We have diminished ovarian reserve and need someone to think deeper outside the box. He works out for many women, but not in my case. Dr. T is who I am seeing now. He is experienced with DOR and difficult cases like mine and I feel very comfortable with him. Both Drs are very good. Just make sure you find a RE who has experience with your case and does not treat you like everyone else.

Thanks. I also have DOR and egg quality issues and decided to go with Dr. Tortoriello as well.

Hi Lillies If it's okay with you, can you tell me what protocol treatment Dr. T recommend for you. He recommended to do the ivf banking, but seems way too expensive and long. Did he recommended the same to you?
Thank you

I am a patient of Dr. T. I just switched to him for my 3rd IVF. I really liked my previous RE but he didn't think outside the box and we had no idea why IUIs and IVFs weren't working. We are unexplained. Dr. T sent me for immune testing and something showed up so I am now on Prednisone and did an intralipid infusion. My protocol was a little different with doing Lupron before stimming. I also added in HGH for quality. I am in the 2ww so IDK if this worked yet but I'll update on the IF board next week. I also considered Dr. Palter for a second opinion but ladies on here said he didn't think outside the box and for that I would have stayed with my first RE. GL
