Lovenox girls - talk me out of my craziness
I injected myself tonight in my usual go-to place which is my love handles. I consider my love handles to be the fatty area right above my pelvic bone but still level with my belly button (I hope that makes sense). Anyway, my LO was hanging out on that side tonight and as soon as I injected myself, he gave me 3 quick kicks in that area. Of course now I'm worried that I somehow stuck him with the needle. Please tell/remind me I'm being crazy and should take my butt to bed. He's moving around a lot in there but this mommy guilt is no joke. Is it possible to hurt our LO's with these shots?

The needle is no way long enough to come anywhere near your baby.
Believe me. I had an amnio and the needle they needed for that was about 12" long so there is no way the tiny lovenox needle came anywhere close.

The lovenox needle is way too tiny to penetrate the muscle and the uterus - you and the baby are fine.

Thanks ladies. I just needed to hear the obvious, because of course now that I'm pregnant I can't always separate the crazy from the obvious!
DH wouldn't even entertain me last night. He rolled over and went right to bed.

I have had the same thought, but agree with the other girls. That needle is too short to do any harm otherwise they wouldn't have us do it in that area.

The needle is too short to go anywhere near the baby. Mine give me some kicks sometimes too when I do the injections. I think its just the pressure of my arm as I reach across to do the shot.
