How long did you wait to tell immediate family?
I told my mom and stepfather like 2 days after we found out. I had miscarriages prior and they're not easy to go through so I would have told my mom if that happened anyway. But personally I wouldn't tell anyone that you wouldn't lean on if something went wrong.

We told our siblings and parents around 6 weeks, my uncle and his family that we're really close to at 8 weeks along. Everyone else was after 12 week NT scan.

With each pregnancy, we told at different times. Except for the 1st and now this one, we waited until after first u/s. I told my sister and my in-laws this time almost right away for a few reasons, including needing to change vacations around. We told everyone this time at just 8 weeks after seeing the hb. This will be baby #5 and #4 is only 8.5 months old, so I knew we were going to hear a lot of comments and just wanted to get that part out of the way.

We just told my mom and sis last night. I am 7 weeks and we saw the heartbeat this week. Will wait till 12 weks to tell everyone else, including ILs, my dad, etc.

with DS #1 we told told our siblings the next day; parents around 8 weeks; everyone else at 12 weeks.
This time I told my sis the same day; and parents the next day (about 6 weeks).
I stressed the first time about not telling people; this time I'm more laid back about it. If something were to happen or go wrong; they're the ones I would tell anyway and seek comfort from.

How long did you wait to tell immediate family?
I waited until after our first doctor visit for immediate family, 8 weeks for close friends, and 12 weeks for the rest. I did tell my bf pretty much right away!

12 weeks.
I don't want the in laws all up in my business, so I don't tell my family to be fair to DH.

Congrats!!!! I would love a big family--my DH not so much!

We told parents and siblings after our first appt at almost 10 weeks... It was soo hard! Everyone else after Nucal test at 12 weeks+

I told my mom at 7 weeks. We told DH's family at 8 weeks. Siblings and close friends at 8 weeks. We went public at 13 weeks.

I told my sister within minutes of peeing on the stick. My parents a few hrs later when I got to work and DHs parents after our first blood test a few days later.
IMO those are the people I am going to lean on if there is a loss so why not tell them.
I agree with this!!!
