First IVF Cycle, update
First IVF Cycle and my Retrieval is tomorrow.
I am super nervous about it, but excited at the same time.
I apparently have 20 follicles and they look really good. I know a few days ago they were only at 17, and they said they want them at 20. They were expecting the retrieval to be Thursday or Friday, then suddenly it was Wednesday.
I really have no clue that is to come.
Update 4/30: they retrieved 17 today. I'm home and sore.
Update 5/1: 12 fertilized, a dozen, I feel like a chicken. But seriously excited, though still super sore.
Update: 5/3: scheduled for a day 5 transfer.
Update 5/6: 1 put back yesterday. 2 made it to freeze. Not particularly enjoying my two days of mandated bed rest as much as I thought I would. Super bored. My dog seems happy with it though.
I guess my next update will be 5/19.

Definitely do the Gatorade! You need to drink a lot since they retrieved so many eggs and you don't want to develop hyperstimulation (and the electrolytes are helpful too!). I had a mild case and it was really painful- plus the transfer can get postponed if the dr becomes concerned.
