When did u take your second child out to stores and stuff?

I probably waited a month or so with ds1 but having a 5 yo I don't know how feasible this is. How long did you wait?

He was born on a Monday, I had him in Stop & Shop that following Saturday- so he was 5 days old. I didn't really have a choice, but I wasn't that nervous. I just kept him in the infant seat, covered. I had my older DS out at 10 days old though, so I am, in general, laid back about this stuff. They were also both spring babies, I may feel differently if I ever have a winter baby.

Much earlier than with DD1. For her I waited pretty much until 6 weeks, with DD2 she's been out since about 2 weeks. I just keep her carrier covered and people away.

About 3 weeks my ped said if he's in the carrier and no ones near him it's ok...he's one month old now

Within 2 or 3 weeks. I had to get out of the house! Like PP said - he is in the carrier and I didn't expect anyone to touch him so I felt okay with it. I would have went stir crazy in the house with a 3 yr old

I think I brought him out at about a week old.

I took DS (child #1) out at 8 days. We went to target and lowes. He was in his carrier the whole time and I don't let anyone get too close to him. Since that day, he has been out of the house almost daily.

With DC#2, I waited the full 8 weeks.
It was winter, cold & flu season & I just didn't want to risk it.
It was hard & I kept DS (older kid) home. That was hard too, but a few weeks before DC #2 was born, he caught a pretty deadly thing from his cousin who just had a cough.
During the summer, it's probably easier to be outdoors & with a school aged kid, you are stuck.

i was def more relaxed about taking dd1 out bc she was a june baby. with dd2 she was born in march and i was def more worried. i waited until she was about a month and half. esp for going out with dd1 and dd2 by myself. it was a little easier than i thought it would be .

We took DD out after about a week. Kept her in the stroller and covered. She's our first.

7 days old for both girls. Just keep them covered and don't let anyone touch them.

I took my DS out the first week and would do the same with a 2nd.

The vaccinations you get at 8 weeks will not protect against ht common cold or flu so I figured why make my life miserable sitting home.

only 1 child, but 1 or 2 weeks. Once I could walk and go out after my c-section i took him wherever I had to go.

He came home at 4 days old and we had him out a few days later. I don't remember how long we kept DS1 inside. It definitely wasn't 6 weeks though or anywhere near that.

Pretty much right away. I had things I had to do so I didn't have much of a choice. (My DD was 4.5 yo when DS was born).

I just kept him in the infant seat in his stroller so nobody would go near him.
