Consultation questions

I am hoping to achieve a second pregnancy via ivf. My kids are two and I feel so out of practice! I am also in a different position this time - I know our diagnosis and will be proceeding straight to ivf. I was hoping you ladies can help me with a few questions!

1. Is it weird to start my consultations now when I am not planning on doing an ivf cycle till December? I wanted to go on a few consults, get some prices etc, but is it silly to start this early?
2. Is it strange to go on a consult myself, without my husband? His work schedule is tough.
3. Can anyone tell me where dr palter falls on the cost spectrum? I have already ruled out NSUH due to cost.

1. I do not think it is weird to start the consultation process now, especially if you plan on meeting with multiple doctors- some doctors it takes months to get in with depending on who you want to meet with.

2. Not strange to go without your husband- I myself, am scheduling a consult with my old RE a few months earlier than when I planned to TTC #2 just in case (I pretty much know I have to go back to the RE because of my LP issues). But I have to go after work without my DH due to our conflicting work schedules and also someone has to watch our DS! I am sure if they require any tests from him like SA then he can go in for those on his own time.

3. Not sure about Palter but I have heard the same about NSUH being pricey-

Consultation questions

definitely start scheduling apt's now. It takes sometimes months to see some Dr's, then there are tests to do which some can only be done at particular windows around ur period, and u want to see a few dif Dr's so this can take even more time.
If ur husband can go on his own to a urologist and have a semen analysis done and a full check up which u then can bring with u to ur consultations there is really no need for him to be there other than the fact that u are partners in life of course.
