How to dispose of unused sealed needles
I have a ton of unused needles from my gonal pen. They are sealed and never used . What's the proper way to dispose of? I use my sharps for my used obvi.

Your RE might take them. Sometimes hospitals have drop off times, too.

My RE took the used ones. I just dumped them in his medical waste container and took it home again.

I have 3 filled sharps containers!!! I know ridiculous. My former RE wouldn't take them. So they just sit in my closet...
I also have a ton of those unopened Gonal F ones lying around.
Let me know what you find out.

I give my unused needles to my RE and the filled containers can get dropped off at any hospital, just drive up the to ER entrance, by law they have to take them.

I've been throwing my extra unused and sealed ones in the garbage... Is that wrong you think??

I think needles of any form should not be just thrown out in the garbage. Even unused. If someone was to get stuck ie the garbage guy...
All needles must be placed in a container, coffee can etc, write the word sharps on it
AT NSLIJ Plainview you have to fill out paperwork when you hand the needles in.
at NCMC you just bring your needle filled can to the ER, I forgot which door, but you just drop it off at a set location. NO paperwork you just drop off

This is from town of Brookhavens website. Posting as an FYI:
How to dispose of Medical waste: Includes syringes, sharps, IV tubes, dressings. Prepare by sealing in a capped impermeable container with a small amount of bleach in the bottom. Place container in regular garbage or contact local medical facility for safe drop-off. Do NOT place in Curby curbside recycling.
