Bleeding after internal?
I'm just about 38 weeks and had my 2nd internal exam. I didn't bleed after the first one but I'm bleeding now. My doctor said spotting is normal...
Has anyone bled heavily after an internal? How long does this usually last? I don't want to be a crazy person and call me doctor after he already told me bleeding is normal.

Bleeding after internal?
Spotting is ok, but if you consider it HEAVY bleeding, I would call the doc just to be safe.
I'd rather feel silly than possibly not catch an issue!

Bleeding after internal?
When I first got home it was a gooey/heavy glob waiting for me (sorry tmi) now it's a little brown spotting, if that. Could it have been my mucus plug?

Could be--I had my DD at 37 wks...24 hrs after an internal!

I had moderate spotting with my first son after my first internal. It freaked me out to see red blood there again. From what I remember it's totally normal.

Yes! That is how I lost mine. After an internal and it was like that.

That's totally normal. I know because I called about the same thing with my first baby. So it's totally normal to be concerned too.

Bleeding after internal?
I just spoke to my doctor today since I started spotting a little again and he said it is completely normal. Right now the only major concern would be contractions.
