South Nassau - breastfeeding vs formula?

Hi! I'm in the first trimester for baby #3 and looking into delivering at South Nassau Hospital (previous kiddos were born in Manhattan-NYU, but I don't want to risk the commute this time!)
Curious to know if anyone has had experience requesting that their baby be exclusively breast fed after delivery? Seems that South Nassau has a high percentage of babies who are supplemented with formula, so wondering if anyone has had trouble requesting no formula, or if they are generally respectful of your individual choice and/or doctor recommendation. Definitely not intending to judge any particular route just curious about the feasibility of requesting no formula at South Nassau in particular. Thanks for any info!

I delivered there in April and had no issues. The nurses were great in helping me when the baby didn't want to latch on or for whatever reason. The lactation consultants came by every day and were great at answering any questions or assisting you in any way. I LOVED delivering there.

When I delivered I requested bottle feed and I had no problems. They did not push anything on me. But my partner at work also delivered there and she only breast feed and said that they where very supportive. She had no problems with breast feed only request there. I remember them asking when I got there my request. They are very good with honoring that. Great Hospital!! Wonderful experience.

They'll do what you tell them to. If you don't trust them, keep the baby in the room with you at all times.

Thanks everyone! I'd assumed they'd be accommodating given all the great things I've heard so far, happy to hear you all had good experiences as well. Looking forward to the tour!
