This story has shaken me to my core. To think that such evil lurks among us and an innocent baby was at its mercy - it's just something that I cannot comprehend. Seeing pictures of little Cooper just breaks my heart...maybe it's because my DS is a little older than him and I am just in awe of how sweet, lovable, and bubbly kids are at that age. How innocent and trusting they are...How the people who they trust most in the whole world can commit such a monstrous act of violence is beyond me.
I pray that Cooper didn't suffer.
I pray that Cooper didn't realize what was happening.
I pray that Cooper didn't feel pain.
Because no child should have to feel those things at the hand of their parents.
If I let myself think that he felt those things, I just break down....like I am right now.
I pray that Cooper is resting in peace now and that he can feel the love and prayers not only from LIF but from across the country.
Rest in Peace, sweet baby boy....you are safe now

(CNN) -- A judge will determine this week whether there's enough evidence to keep in jail a Georgia man whose son died in a hot SUV.
Justin Ross Harris, who is charged with murder and second-degree child cruelty, will go before a judge Thursday for a probable cause hearing.
I really hope justice is served this time. If this becomes another Casey Anthony I would be disgusted and ashamed of our justice system.

I really think this is a cover up. Maybe these parents were drunk or high the night before and something awful happened to him. Like they passed out and forgot him in the car. So they tried to pawn it off next day as an accident with the DH forgetting him in the car. Which seems pretty much impossible considering his daycare was IN the same bldg as the dh, so clearly this was routine.
Can it be proven they went to breakfast that am? Were they seen?

I am sure they were able to evaluate the baby's stomach contents and also pin point the time of death via the autopsy. This is evidence and will not be made public knowledge until the trial (if there is one). The more I here about this the sicker it makes me. I heard on HLN yesterday the mom said something about although she misses her boy she doesn't want him back because this world is a bad place. More and more I think they are both in on this and I just pray that little guy was drugged before he was tortured in that car and left his world pain free and unaware that his parent(s) abandon him.

Did I read correctly above somewhere that they had IF and it took a long time to conceive him? Why did they bother to do all that, have a child if the world is so horrible?????????

I can't read this story anymore because it makes me literally sick to my stomach!! I seriously can't..Between the girl in Medford being murdered and her daughter left without a mom which they still havent had an arrest!!!..and this poor little boy!!!..I just want to hold my children a little tighter and never let them go..This world is a sick place!! I want to live somewhere on a remote island away from everyone and everything..

I heard it took them a while to conceive the child, don't know about infertility per se. I also gather they claim to be "religious" people from what I hear on HLN (Jane Valez Mitchell) and after I heard that bit from the funeral yesterday I wanted to vomit. I feel like they thought he was "better off with God" or something crazy like that. Sick all around.

Here's the thing.
It's horrible enough to think one parent can intentionally harm/kill their own child.
But two??
Two people can both be in on something so sinister? Against something they both brought into the world? Like how do you even broach that subject?
I can't even wrap my head around that, you know?
I always think this when I read about moms who let husbands or boyfriends use kids for sex or to make porn etc. I always think that the mom must be so sick for "love/attention" from the man and like brainwashed.

What could possibly be the reason to want to off your kid, especially when it was difficult for you to conceive - so clearly you want(ed) to be parents. I don't get it.
Did the child have health problems? Was he special needs? There is no forgiving reason for what they did, but I'm trying to think of what the sick motive could be... I just can't understand what would drive them to do this.
Was there video surveillance or witnesses that saw the child at breakfast that morning? Has the daycare made a statement?

I wonder if they were doing it for "religious" purposes. I mean obviously their own perception of whatever religion they were following.
I just can't get "The Lord is holding both of us up" out of my head. At the funeral, where she is either supposed to be heavily sedated or heavily remorseful. She has ZERO remorse.

I can't stop thinking about this poor baby everytime I get into my sweltering car over the past few days. I've literally starting bawling because it's SO hot inside and I keep thinking how that poor little boy must have felt...
I hope BOTH of his parents rot in jail for the rest if their lives. And I have a feeling there's MUCH more to this story than we know...all pointing to the fact that these sickos did this on purpose.

From the get go his whole story sounded sketchy. I knew in my gut that was no accident. As I said from the moment the story broke, he's a worthless, disgusting piece of $hit.

What I find super weird is that they had TWO insurance policies on their son! I remember I was given the option at work to take one out on my daughter. And I remember it was something like 15k and I was like god forbid 15k would even come close to affording the bed ridden life I would need if something happened so there is no point in even having one.
Honestly money would be my last problem. You'd have to put me on sucicide watch.
