Holiday clothes shopping
Since I just got emails for Halloween and Christmas. Got me thinking. When should I start looking for Halloween and Christmas outfits for my 1 year old? Thinking Halloween in Sept and Christmas in mid-Oct?

Re: Holiday clothes shopping
Your thinking is spot on. Holiday dresses come out in October and if you see something you want don't wait.

That's what I was thinking. I think her photos are at the end of October for Christmas. I hate crowds so I don't want to be fighting lines for a Halloween outfit for her.

I completely agree. I thought the emails were a joke but it got me thinking, which got my OCD to kick in, which led me to post on here.

Re: Holiday clothes shopping
i know everything is rushed.... I started seeing some Halloween clothes/outfits/costumes out now.
I also have a DD, and i like to buy early because, especially if you have a girl, people buy quickly and your stuck with the leftovers. I would wait to buy Halloween stuff until August for sure, that's when more of a selection will be out and you have more to choose from. September is still good but a lot of people buy then and you run the risk of missing out on what you want. again, its crazy that you have to feel so rushed...
I always take my DD for her Christmas pics in early November. So I always buy her Christmas outfit in October. for christmas, buy early or you really will miss out!

Re: Holiday clothes shopping
It's disgusting that you can't buy a bathing suit in July but can buy a fall jacket and boots. And it's also annoyingn that you can't find snow boots in February in NEW YORK but can buy bathing suits and flip flops. Why can't they keep seasons normal?

Re: Holiday clothes shopping
It is annoying that everything is so rushed. But only buy ahead of time if you fall in love with something. Last year, once I saw Xmas dresses hit the shelves, I scooped one up in October for fear that there would be some sort of shortage. I liked but didn't love it. Then, in late November, I found one that I loved loved, so I ended up with 2 dresses (not a big deal bc our family does the Eve and day).
